Would you like to run in our Sister City Tateyama, Japan’s 36th Wakashio Marathon/10K/2K on January 31st, 2016?
We’ve been sending folks to Tateyama for decades and this might be your year! If so, contact us immediately as the deadline is approaching.
Challenge your running record and do some citizen diplomacy for world peace at the same time! For just your airfare ($766 on Kayak.com 10/17/15) and a few other expenses, our friends in Tateyama will waive the race fee, pick up/drop you off at Tokyo Narita airport, and provide a home stay with a local family. You’ll make life long memories and friends on this trip. Our Australian sister City, Port Stephens is sending runners too! So not only will you be able to enrich yourself in Japanese culture, but you will be able to become close to a couple Australian runners as well! This year you can compete for a Sister Cities Association $1000 grant. All runners would share the grant equally, but each of you should apply. Click here for Grant Application:
